Our Process
Design Consultation
After the initial meeting, the next step is to work with the clients to create a 3D design of their pool and landscaping. This involves drawing inspiration from the clients' individual tastes and incorporating them into the design.
Permitting
Once the design is finalized, the next step is to obtain the necessary permits from the homeowners association, county, or city. Our in-house design team and project managers will handle the entire permitting process.
Layout
Before the excavation begins, we will lay out the pool, spa, and landscaping features in the yard to ensure that everything is placed in the desired location and to the clients' satisfaction. This allows the clients to visualize the final result and approve the placement before construction begins.
Excavation
The first step in the construction process is to excavate the area where the pool will be built. This involves digging a hole to the appropriate depth and shaping the sides to the desired design.
Rebar
Rebar, or steel reinforcing bars, are then installed to provide additional strength and support to the concrete walls of the pool. The rebar is typically placed in a crisscross pattern and tied together to create a strong, reinforced structure.
Plumbing and Electrical
Once the foundation and rebar are in place, the next step is to install the plumbing and electrical systems for the pool. This typically involves running pipes for the filtration and circulation systems, as well as installing electrical wiring for pool lights and other features.
Gunite
After the plumbing and electrical systems are installed, the next step is to pour the concrete for the walls of the pool. This is typically done using a wet concrete mix, which is poured into the forms and smoothed to create the desired shape and finish.
Tile and Coping
The next step is to install the tile and coping around the top edge of the pool. The tile is typically a ceramic or stone material, chosen for its durability and aesthetic appeal. The coping is a capstone that finishes the edge of the pool and provides a smooth surface.
Interior Finish
The final step in the construction of the pool walls is to apply the interior finish. This can be done using a variety of materials, including plaster, pebble, or quartz, to create a smooth, durable surface for the pool.
Decking
Once the pool is complete, the next step is to build the decking or patio area around the pool. This can be done using a variety of materials, including concrete, pavers, or wood, to create a functional and attractive outdoor living space.
Landscaping
The next step is to add the finishing touches, such as landscaping, outdoor lighting, and other features to enhance the overall look and feel of the backyard space. This can include planting trees and shrubs, and creating outdoor kitchens or fire pits.
Pool School
The final step is pool school. Pool school teaches you everything you need to know about maintaining a pool, from water chemistry to equipment operation and troubleshooting. It also teaches you how to properly care for your pool's surfaces and equipment which is a valuable resource for anyone looking to keep their pool in top condition.
